Centerline is a Mac app for construction takeoff and maintenance-of-traffic plan drafting.
PDF plans, saved projects, measurements, markups, reusable tools, signature appearances, and recovery snapshots are processed and stored on your Mac. Centerline does not automatically upload your plans. You choose which files to open, save, export, or share. App preferences are stored locally. Credentials for optional services are stored in macOS Keychain. Removing the app does not necessarily remove saved projects or Keychain entries.
Apple handles subscription payments through the App Store. Centerline uses Apple’s signed transaction information to determine subscription access. Centerline does not receive your payment-card information. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account. See Apple’s privacy policy for its processing of purchase and account information.
Text extraction and Apple Vision OCR run locally. If you choose AI suggestions and explicitly approve a request, Centerline sends the extracted text shown in the AI panel to Perplexity using your API credential. Text may include project names, addresses, notes, and other information present on the page. You can edit the text before sending. This request does not upload the PDF or page image. Perplexity also receives the network information necessary to serve the request and processes information under its own terms and privacy policy: Perplexity privacy policy. Your Perplexity API account and usage charges are separate from Centerline. Do not send information you are not authorized to share.
If you connect to a server and publish a project, Centerline sends the plan and project content, including markups and takeoffs, to that server. Linked projects synchronize while open. The operator of the server controls its storage, access, retention, and deletion practices. Connecting to a server uses the credentials you supply. Cloud hosting is not included with the Centerline subscription. Disconnecting or deleting a local file does not delete the server copy; request deletion from the server operator.
Centerline contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not track activity across other companies’ apps or websites. It does not sell personal information. Optional service providers process the data you choose to send under their own policies.
Use the local takeoff and MOT tools without connecting an AI or cloud service. Remove the Perplexity credential from the AI panel and disconnect cloud connections through the Cloud menu. Delete local project and export files through Finder. Settings, reusable assets, signature vault data, and recovery copies may remain in the app’s sandbox container until you remove them. Contact the relevant service provider about copies already transmitted. Canceling a subscription does not delete your local projects.
Support information is available on the Centerline support page. For support and privacy questions, email [email protected]. If you contact support, send only the information needed to resolve your request. This policy may be updated when Centerline’s data practices change; the current policy is available through the app’s Help menu and the App Store listing.
